The G4 Reposado Madera Día de Muertos 2023 Edition is far more than a special-edition tequila to me. It is a bottle that brings together Mexican culture, the craftsmanship of El Pandillo, and the unmistakable philosophy of the Camarena family.

Día de Muertos is one of Mexico’s most meaningful traditions — a celebration of memory, family, and respect for those who came before us. To see G4 interpret that heritage through a special Madera expression makes this release particularly meaningful.

As a collector, I have chosen not to open this bottle yet. Its significance to me goes beyond tasting notes. The distinctive presentation, the limited nature of the release, and the story behind it make it a bottle I want to preserve as part of my G4 collection.

What I admire most about G4 is that even its special releases never feel like rarity created simply for rarity’s sake. There is always a connection to place, people, tradition, and the way tequila is actually made.
